As a Carmel wedding photographer, I’ve learned that you cannot find a bad spot in Carmel to get married. From the rocky, rugged coast, to the sweeping valleys and vineyards, Carmel offers so many locations to host your wedding. For Jesse and Melissa, the beach was very important to them so they held their ceremony on Carmel Beach.

This was my first wedding of 2022! Christopher contacted me late in 2021 seeking a photographer for his short wedding ceremony followed by photos at Carmel Beach. This is basically my specialty. However, this wedding was different for me than any others I have photographed. Not only was I to be their photographer, but also their witness!
So without walking very far there are already two locations with great backdrops for your photos: Pacific Ocean and Carmel River. What makes this beach unique is not only the river, but also its proximity to the hiking trails at Carmel Meadows. The rugged beach also makes for dramatic proposal or engagement photos. You really can’t go wrong if you’re looking for incredible backgrounds for your images. Definitely worth the price of a photography permit.
